Christina Morgan:
Christina Morgan, co-owner of Villa Cucina, was born and raised in San Clemente, and first began working in the retail industry at Guinevere's Gifts as a high school sophomore. After attending Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, she completed her studies in Austin and entered the corporate world in middle management at Dell Computers. Starting a catering business on the side, she soon left corporate America to open her own successful restaurant and catering facility. But her heart remained in San Clemente, so she sold her building and business, and returned home. Marrying in to the "Guinevere's" family, she took over basic operations to help rebuild the store after a devastating fire, turning it into a downtown anchor, running the store for ten years, until the business sold in 2003.

Beginning her own chain of small retail locations called The Hopeless Romantic, retailing fine furniture and home decor, Christina always envisioned her business in downtown San Clemente, and kept her eye upon a specific location. When 124 Avenida Del Mar became available, and a mutual friend united Christina and Candace, the idea of a new concept store was born. Villa Cucina would bring San Clemente the finest in gifts and home furnishings, as well as an elite selection of kitchen wares, gourmet foods, and San Clemente's premier cooking school. Everything for the home AND kitchen... A match made in the Heart of San Clemente!

Christina has served San Clemente upon the Board of Directors and general committee for the Downtown Business Association, as well as visionary committees for downtown growth. Her heart and soul are rooted firmly in our Village by the Sea, and her extensive history here makes her a strong voice for the future of our beautiful downtown.
